Statewide Child Abuse Prevention Conference, an annual event of over 1000 participants featuring national experts, model programs, and state-of-the-art solutions to prevent child maltreatment (1988 - present), funded by Arizona Department of Economic Security.
Healthy Families Arizona Statewide Steering Committee guides the expansion of the program to all new parents in the state (1988 to present).
Healthy Families Institute, a biannual statewide training event for all Healthy Families Arizona staff (1995 to present), funded by Arizona Department of Economic Security through a private contract with LeCroy & Milligan.
Yavapai Family Advocacy Center, a "one-stop shop" designed to integrate investigations, prosecution, medical treatment and victim services for child and adult victims of physical and sexual abuse. (2000 to present) |
Family Centered Practice Conference is held in June to train 500 family service providers in the critical strategies for serving families from a strengths-based perspective, funded by Arizona Department of Economic Security. (2003 to present)
Family Leadership Conference This conference is the vision of the Community Development Initiative Steering Team, a statewide group of parent leaders and representatives from eight of Arizona’ child-serving agencies. This project is parent-drive, multi-disciplinary and multi-agency. Topics include: principles and benefits of asset-based community development, building and sustaining strong partnerships, engaging and empower families to be leaders and focusing on assts and skills, rather than deficits or needs.
Advanced Forensic Interview Training funded by the US Bureau of Justice Assistance in collaboration with the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office, is a five-day experiential training for law enforcement and child protective services investigators on interviewing skills with children who are victims or witnesses of crimes. (1999 to present)
Never Shake a Baby Arizona, a planning and demonstration grant from the Arizona Child Abuse Prevention License Plate / Arizona Republic designed to reduce the incidence of shaken baby syndrome through educating all new parents (2000 to present). |
